Elizabeth Reaser has a career as an American film, TV and stage actress. Her most notable roles include The Twilight Saga (film), Greys Anatomy (series) and True Detective. An Australian casting director approached her to conduct auditions. She booked the role of "Kiki" in the film Lightning Point/Alien Surf Girls. Seit then she has had minor roles in movies like Peter Pan, Aquamarine and numerous others. The actress played Cleopatra in the Netflix series Roman Empire's second season. Also, she appeared in the cult-classic film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Jessica was chosen for the role of The Outpost's lead role, Talon. The producers requested a video of Jessica acting and MMA. Producers requested that she send the video of her swordfighting. That day after Jessica sent the video. After having read the script Jessica realized that her role required weapons instruction, and recorded her first lesson with a trained professional. Jonathan Glassner said that the stunt crew was surprised by the way Jessica performed on her first day of training. This was the first time she had acted in a US important role since she has previously appeared in films from Australia. The character is based on Jessica's love for action with her mixed disciplines of horse riding, martial arts as well as weaponry skills and athletic ability that allows her to perform tricks and truly embody the strong female character. She learned boxing, muay Thai, and trains at an academy for mixed martial arts in Australia. Jake Stormoen came across dogs roaming about the filming set of Season 4 while on set. The dog in question was actually an abandoned puppy who lived on the location. Jessica was the foster mom to two puppies.
