She was best known for her character Samantha Jones on the HBO show Sex and the City. In this role, she was awarded the Golden Globe Award for 2002 as the best supporting female actor. In 2008 and 2010, she reprised her role in the films Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2. Her most prominent characters include Police Academy Big Trouble from Little China Mannequin, and Porky's from the 1980s. Kim Cattrall will be remembered for her performance as Samantha Jones in the HBO sitcom Sex & the City. Born in Sweden in the city of Skane, she was a model prior to her acting profession. She was later crowned her first Miss Sweden contest. She moved to the US, and began appearing in films in minor roles. She was the Venusian Guard in Abbott and Costello Go to Mars the film that was her first credits role. In the following year, after appearing in Blood Alley, she won the Golden Globe Award in the category of the Most Promising Youngcomer.
